 We want to point at Jesus in all we do as a church. He says that when He is lifted up He will draw everyone to Himself. Even this site is developed with that same purpose: Bring the attention to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We also wish for you to find answers to the questions you may have about apostolic churches and ministries while surfing through these pages.
THE KEY IS FAITH IN JESUS. It is by faith in Jesus that this righteousness of God becomes ours. Romans 3:26 says: "... it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies him who has faith in Jesus."

Karmøy Apostolic Church was officially established April 22 2001. Pastor Sveinung Espeland Ramstad is the  founder and senior pastor of the church. He has been involved in youth ministry for ten years, four years as youth pastor in Haugesund. The summer of 1999 the Lord spoke to him to step into new areas of ministry. During theological studies at Assemblies of God in Phoenix, USA the same year, God instructed him to pioneer and build an apostolic church in Karmøy.

Karmøy Apostolic Church is a Full Gospel, apostolic church located in Karmøy, Rogaland, Norway. The church is not related to a traditional denomination, but sees the value in and necessity of being under supervision of an apostolic ministry and church. As God leads we achieve this in cooperation with national as well as international ministries and churches. |

Karmøy has been experiencing revivals many times through the centuries. People with a divine vision and a calling to preach the Good News have strongly influenced this island community. The density of churches and prayer houses is a testimony to the move of God in this place.
The island is by many simply called "The Holy Island"... |

The will of God is made clear through the command of Jesus in Matthew 28 to «go and make disciples of all nations». It's in the heart of God that He «desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth». (1Tim. 2:4).
In the fall of 1999 we received from the Lord the vision for the church:
Isa. 61:4 «And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.»
OUR GOALS TO FULFILL THE VISION ARE FIVEFOLD
1 Proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world and the only way to God and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord with liberty to the captives. (Isa. 61:1-3)
2 Rebuild that which has been torn down and become a city that is set on a hill. (Isa. 61:4 and Matt. 5:14)
3 Be a centre of healing through the preaching of the Word and the manifested power of God . (Psalms 107:20)
4 Be a voice of one crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord. (Matt. 3:3 and Rev. 22:17)
5 Be an apostolic church to establish the Kingdom of God at Karmøy and for the sending out of apostolic servants to plant churches in Norway and throughout the world. (Acts 1:8) |
