John 14:6-7: Jesus said to him, «I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him.»
Jesus speaks about Himself as the way to the Father. The only way! This is the basis of the Bible and of Christianity. In spite of all the world's different religion's attempts to tell us how we can be united with the divinity there is only one way to God. With God we mean the Creator of the universe. To Him there is only one door - Jesus Christ - His only begotten Son. It is through Him and His reconciling sacrifice on the cross that we can be saved.

Jesus also make another interesting statement:«...If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip?» (v.7-9) Here Jesus identify 100% with the Father and speak as if it is the Father Himself talking to them. And that's exactly how it is. In John 10:30 Jesus says: «I and the Father are one.» It is obvious that we cannot divide the Father and the Son. Together with the Holy Spirit; they are the one true God.
