The Bible says in John 1:1-5: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Here the Bible says that the Word was with God and at the same time the Word was God. Furthermore the Bible says in John 1:14-18: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. (John bore witness to him, and cried, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.'") And from his fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known."

 

The Bible says that in the beginning was the Word. The Word was not created in the beginning. The Word WAS! This means that the Word has existed since the beginning. The beginning is the beginning. With our human understanding we cannot comprehend the beginning of eternity. But in our heart we can decide to trust the Bible. Furthermore this Scripture says that the Word was God and that all things were made through Him. So the Word was God. In verse 14 it says that the Word became flesh (or was given a body to dwell in) and dwelt among us (man). The Word got a physical body. With other words, God got a physical body to dwell in among man. Furthermore it says that John bore witness to Him. John bore witness of Jesus Christ, the Messiah to come. This means that Jesus is the Word. And Jesus is God. He made God visible to man.
